"You are only as strong as you want to be...
so want to be as strong as you are."
Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel starts out as an oncoming train. Three years ago in 2008, I endured major surgery. I awoke to be told by doctors that I should have died, yet I survived. I also found myself homeless upon my release from the hospital, turned away from shelters and with no resources available to me. I moved into the Aloha Inn, determined to recover my physical strength and start my life over. I was introduced to Washington CASH, an organization designed to equip low-income entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. I came to CASH with a sound business idea, but lacking the education or experience to put it into practice. Completing their 8-week course filled in the blanks for me and propelled me on my way to realizing my dream of running my own company.
I knew that this business was going to change my life for the better! I moved into transitional housing and within one year I opened my first shop. Suddenly I began to build brand recognition as a real business based in my very own store. It was so much more than conducting home visits and house parties, now I had my own professional location where clients and customers could find me. With the help of a small business loan I moved forward and have never turned back!
As the concept of my business took shape in my mind, I came to think of myself and everyone else in the world as Lovlee Creations. We are ALL Lovlee Creations, therefore I decided to produce and promote products that embody beauty and strength intertwined and flowing outward. I hope that my story inspires others to reach for their goals, to strive to accomplish whatever they set out to do, and to embrace their own beauty and strength within and without.
